Air ambulance lands on M4 between Hungerford and Newbury
Two people taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries
Two people were taken to hospital following an incident on the M4 between Hungerford and Newbury this afternoon (Monday), during which an air ambulance landed on stand-by.
South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) spokeswoman, Gillian Hodgetts, said the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance was called at 4.02pm to the M4 eastbound between junctions 14 and 13, following a road traffic collision.
Two ambulances and two paramedics were also sent to the scene.
Two patients were taken by road to Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading, with non-life threatening injuries.
Thames Valley Police (TVP) were called to the scene at 3.57pm, following a lane three collision involving an Audi and a VW.
This stretch of the M4 eastbound was closed during the incident, with the vehicles recovered at about 6pm.
