Alcohol, cigarettes and tobacco stolen in Shaw retail theft
Four people are said to have gained access to the store, on Kiln Road, at around 4.45am by jemmying the front glass panel.
Once inside the shop, offenders forced the cigarette unit and stole a large quantity of alcohol, tobacco and cigarettes before taking them to a car parked outside the location.
Each of the people involved were said to be wearing dark hooded tops, balaclavas and jeans during the incident and left the scene in a dark-coloured vehicle.
Thames Valley Police is now appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact PC Michael Watts from Newbury police station via the non-emergency number 101.
