Aldi applies to extend opening times at Newbury store

The London Road store is currently open from 8am until 9pm on Monday to Saturday, but wants to extend it by an hour to allow it to open until 10pm.
Deliveries currently take place between the hours of 7am and 9pm on Monday to Saturday.
It has also applied for permission to extend delivery times by an hour, also until 10pm.
Aldi says that longer opening hours will align with modern lifestyles and peoples’ varying working hours.
In its application, it adds: "It is our view that the proposed extension to permitted opening and delivery hours of only one hour in the evening will not give rise to any significant impact for the nearest noise sensitive buildings.
"It is therefore considered that the proposal will not have a detrimental impact on the amenity of surrounding residents."
