All systems go for East Garston fete
Get your glad rags on for the village's big day out...
MAKE a date in your diary today (Saturday) - there's fun for all at East Garston Village Fete and it's free.
This year's event takes place at Parsonage Farmhouse opposite the Queen's Arms pub from 11.30am.
Among the attractions expect to find children's fancy dress competition and races, a falconry display, dog show, live steel band, Morris dancing with the Garston Gallopers and even an air display.
In the main marquee will be the vegetable and fruit display, with further trade stands offering everything from jams and fudges to jewelry and handbags.
There will be classic cars, tractors and helicopters on show, a cookery display given by The Queen's Arms, a photographic display as well as a substantial bouncy castle and a chance to meet and feed a selection of animals.
There will also be the opportunity to smash some plates, kick some footballs, practice your golf, launch balls at the coconuts or do some limbo dancing.
Finally, there will be the usual raffle plus barbecue, teas, ice creams and Pimms tent.
