All was arty at Bradfield festival

The event got under way last Thursday afternoon with a presentation by local children’s illustrator, Anne Wilson, following which pupils turned their hands to a number of activities including wood sculpting, weaving and making bunting and murals.
On Friday, tasks involving clay, printing, painting, graphics and textiles were enjoyed.
The event culminated at the end of the school day when the grounds were transformed into an art gallery in which pupils could proudly display their work to an audience of family, friends and school staff.
Interim headteacher, Paul German, said: “This ability to gather together such resourcefulness and talent from amongst the staff, pupils and wider community is one of the many reasons that make Bradfield Primary school such an extraordinary place to learn; children thriving both academically and culturally.”
