Purley Players performing murder mystery play in first post-pandemic performance
The Purley Players are returning to perform a murder mystery play this month.
The amateur dramatic group, which has been producing pantomimes and plays for the last 25 years, is currently rehearsing The Allotment Plot which will be the group’s first performance since the pandemic.
The story revolves around the allotment growers association meeting up in their shed before their annual competition.
Anne Bolland of the Purley Players said of the murder mystery story: “With jealousy, rivalry, secrets and a shed packed with pesticides and sharp implements, what could possibly go wrong?”
Performances take place on Friday, September 23, and Saturday, September 24, at The Barn, Goosecroft Lane, Purley on Thames.
