Giant poppies painted on John O’Gaunt Pub wall in Hungerford for Remembrance Day

THEY’RE back!

Staff at the John O’Gaunt Inn in Hungerford have been busy painting giant poppies on the wall of the Bridge Street watering hole and restaurant in time for Remembrance Day.

Publican Mark Genders said: “We are painting the outside walls of our pub with giant poppies this year, as we did in 2021.

“We thought it was something positive amidst all the negativity and angst in our world at the moment.”
