Police find seven people shoplifting in Newbury town centre and at Newbury Retail Park in single day

Police detained seven people for shoplifting on a single day in Newbury last week.

The Newbury neighbourhood policing team carried out a shoplifting operation at Newbury Retail Park and in the town centre on Thursday, November 9.

Police officers and police community support officers detained seven offenders for searches, and five of them have been issued with community resolutions for shoplifting.

All items found on the offenders were returned to their respective shops.
