Streatley School’s Green Flag Triumph

Streatley Primary School has achieved the prestigious Eco-Schools Green Flag award.

The eco warrior committee of Zach, Eva, Hanna, Autumn, Nezah, Oliver and Mason, helped by Mrs MacDonald, care for the school allotment, pond village, beach and woodland.

Year 4 pupils Zach and Josh led the ‘Wild World Club’ logo competition, raising money for WWF, with winner Jess receiving a family wildlife walk experience.

Local ecologist Steve provided a prize for the competition.

Eco-Schools praised the pupils' efforts, saying: "Congratulations to everyone for the great work you have done, earning your Eco-Schools Green Flag award.

They added: "You have a confident eco committee dedicated to maximising their impact.

"Your eco-code is really smart and concise and full of great messages and calls-to-action.
