Owners of classic motors from across the district and beyond recently converged on Yattendon for the village's Classic Vehicle Day, the first show since 2019.

Hundreds of vehicles - including cars, motorcycles, traction engines and military hardware - were brought in for the event, with around 50 displays organised by the local garage.

Entry for the show was completely free, with attendees encouraged to make a voluntary donation to Thames Valley Air Ambulance, the event's sponsored charity.

Organiser Lyn Mistry said that the event had drawn in a wide range of exhibitors.

She said: "It's probably about a 100-mile radius of people coming. It's everyone from the local village, and from Hampshire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire.

"We had about 20 or 30 scooters all arrive together, we've had a load of Mustangs arrive together, we have a TVR club, we have the White Horse Classic Vehicle Club.

"Yesterday, the traction engines arrived - one guy came from Thatcham to here in an hour and 45 minutes.

"All them coming through that gate yesterday afternoon in the bright sunshine, and staying overnight in their living quarters, was absolutely wonderful."
