Winners of the Newbury Weekly News Young Photographer of the Year competition announced
We are delighted to be able to announce the winners of this year’s Newbury Weekly News Young Photographer of the Year competition.
Once again this year’s entries, interpreting the theme of landscapes, have been superb.
We hope you will enjoy looking at the winning entries, which are printed here, and we’d like to thank everyone who sent us their photographs for taking the time and effort to enter our competition.
We are delighted to announce and celebrate the three talented young photographers who won the sixth annual Newbury Weekly News Young Photographer of the Year competition.
A huge congratulations to our three category winners:
Judges choice winner: Emily Spokes, Trinity School (Year 11)
Senior winner: Rhys Slann, Clere School (Year 8)
Junior winner: Daisy Dunn, Burghclere Primary School (Year 4)
We had a total of 59 entries to this year’s competition, which were split into two categories – junior, for those in school years 3-6, and senior, for those in years 7-11.
All of the entries were published in a special supplement in this newspaper on June 9.
Each of the winners has won not only the title of Young Photographer of the Year, but also a £50 amazon voucher.
Well done to all of them!
