Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff latest celebrity to visit Nando's in Newbury
Former England cricket star pops into Kennet Centre for chicken meal over weekend
FIRST it was former Chelsea and Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti - and now ex-England cricketer Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff has become the latest big name star to visit Nando's in Newbury.
It was not clear why Flintoff, who guided England to a famous Ashes victory against Australia in 2005, was in the area - but one thing is clear - he certainly enjoyed his meal.
After his visit at the weekend, Nando's posted a picture of the big man with members of staff on its Facebook page and wrote: "Andrew Flintoff visit our restaurant today! #cricketplayer #nandos #we❤chicken."
When asked by the Newbury Weekly News what Flintoff ordered, Nando's declined to comment.
Clearly there is something about the Newbury restaurant that the celebrities like.
In June 2013 the NWN reported how Mr Ancelotti ordered a chicken burger and chips and posed for pictures with fans.
