Thatcham beauty therapist adds another award to the shelf

A Thatcham beauty therapist has made the Top 40 for best 'Skin Specialist' at the UK Hair and Beauty Awards.

The award is the latest in a string of accolades for All Beauty by Cheryl since the salon opened within the Old Mews Hair and Beauty Lounge on Thatcham High Street two years ago.

The face behind the name, Cheryl Carroll-Smith, also bagged ‘Beauty Therapist of the Year’ at last year’s Beauty Full Awards.

Speaking to newburytoday about her recent win, Mrs Carroll-Smith — who has lived in Newbury for 26 years — said: “I can't thank all my loyal clients old and new for supporting my business and making being nominated for these awards possible.

“I am finalist for 'Beauty Therapist of the Year' again this year, which is an amazing achievement being up against so many talented and deserving finalists.

“Facials are my passion and I'm super grateful for being recognised for them.”

The awards ceremony was hosted in Birmingham by ex-footballer, Jake Quickendon, and saw Mrs Carroll-Smith’s colleagues, Andrea King and Sarah Jane, win the ‘Highly Recommended Awards for Semi-Permanent Makeup and Hair Stylist.’

The Old Mews Hair and Beauty Lounge was also ranked the 'Highly Recommended Best New Salon in the UK' by the panel of industry judges.

The awarding body commented: “We look carefully at each application and only those that can show outstanding skills are shortlisted to the finals.

“All Beauty by Cheryl has shown their quality and standard of her bespoke facials is at a high level to receive this award.”
