Another year celebrated at annual Mencap ball

More than 60 guests attended the event, held at The Chequer’s Hotel, Newbury, last Friday, for a full sit-down meal and to dance the night away.
The fundraising manager at West Berkshire Mencap, Carrie-Anne Ferrie, said: “We are delighted with how well this year’s ball was received and how many of our clients attended.
“The performances from Michael Otton, our magician for the evening, and Jimmy Rocket and Helen, our singers for the event, were fantastic and really made the evening very special and memorable for our clients.
“We would like to say thank you to everyone who helped on the evening, including the Chequers Hotel’s staff, Stuart March Photography, our performers and our staff and volunteers.
“We have had wonderful feedback from all that attended and we are very much looking forward to next year’s event.”
