Appeal after criminal damage in Mortimer
The incident occurred at 11:07pm on July 4 after a man crossed over to Spratley's Garage in Victoria Road and scratched five panels of a Vauxhall Corsa parked on the forecourt.
He was then seen heading in the direction of the doctors surgery.
The offender is said to be a white male in his 50s with short, thinning hair and a full-faced short beard.
He was wearing glasses, an unzipped dark coloured jacket with a light shirt, light brown trousers and black shoes.
PC Robert Simpson-Jones, from Newbury Police Station, said: “The person was on foot and I am hoping that someone from the village knows this male.”
