Appeal after Mortimer car theft

The silver Dodge Cornet was stolen from the car park of the Horse and Groom pub at 9:30pm on Wednesday and was driven down Victoria Road, before mounting the path and hitting a bench.
The offender, described as a young person wearing a blue top and jeans, was then seen heading towards Kings Street on foot before leading to an alleyway leading to The Beavers.
PC Robert Simpson-Jones of Newbury police station, is asking for witnesses who may have seen anything suspicious or who saw the offender in the area at the time to come forward.
