Appeal for information after bag snatched from train at Theale
The incident occurred on a Reading to Newbury train on Thursday, May 29, at around 7.20pm.
Investigating officer, PC Alvon May, said: “The victim, a woman from Newbury, boarded the train at Reading and sat with her handbag by her side.
“When the train pulled into Theale station, a woman – who had boarded the train with a male passenger at Reading West station - grabbed the woman’s bag from the seat and ran from the train while it was stopped at Theale.
“I am today in a position to release CCTV images of a woman and man I would like to trace and speak to as I believe they will have key information which could assist the investigation.”
