Police appeal for witnesses after man assaulted at Newbury Racecourse




Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following an assault at Newbury Racecourse.

The victim, a man in his 40s, was punched in the face by an unknown offender, causing facial injuries and damaged teeth, which required dental work.

The incident took place on Saturday, August 17, after 7pm.

Investigating officer detective constable Beth Trafford, based at Newbury Police Station, said: “I’m appealing to anyone who witnessed or recorded this incident and has any information relating to it to get in touch.

“While we do not have a description of the offender at this time, we are aware there are a number of witnesses who captured this incident on their mobile phones and ask anyone with footage to please upload this to our dedicated portal for this investigation.”
