Appeal for witnesses after attempted murder in Tilehurst




POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a woman was attacked in Tilehurst yesterday (Friday).
Thames Valley Police have launched an attempted murder investigation after officers were called to a report of an assault in a garden in Grafton Road, Tilehurst, shortly before 7.30pm, following reports that a woman, in her fifties, had been attacked with an unknown bladed weapon.
She sustained injuries to her right arm, head and back and is currently in a stable condition at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading.
Police believe the offender to be a white man, who was wearing blue denim jeans and a blue denim jacket, and who was seen before and after the incident riding a blue or green Suzuki GSX-R motorcycle.
A man from Reading has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
He is currently in police custody
