Thames Valley Police appeal for witnesses to serious injury road traffic collision on M4 on Wednesday, July 2
Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision on the M4 that left two people in hospital.
The incident occurred at approximately 10.54am today (Wednesday, July 2) on the eastbound carriageway between Junction 14 (Hungerford) and Junction 13 (Chieveley).
A red Mitsubishi Shogun and a HGV were involved in the collision, A man in his thirties and a child both sustained serious injuries, requiring hospital treatment, where they remain at this time.
A 33-year-old man from Cirencester has been arrested on suspicion of driving whilst over the prescribed limit and obstructing a police officer.
Investigating officer Sergeant Sarah Davies of the Roads Policing Unit, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed this collision, or the moments leading up to it, to please come forward.
“I am also appealing to anyone who was driving in the area at the time to check their dash-cam footage, as it may have captured something that could help with our enquiries.”
