Appeal for witnesses after violent robbery




The victim sustained multiple injuries, including a fractured eye socket and serious bruising to his body

Hampshire detectives are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in which a man was seriously injured.

The robbery occurred shortly before 10.30pm on Friday (May 6) in Giles Court, Tadley.

Two men broke into a flat above the Co-Operative convenience store in the village and assaulted a 41-year-old man.

The victim sustained multiple injuries, including a fractured eye socket and serious bruising to his body.

Money was also taken from the flat during the incident.

The offenders were both white, in their early 20s, at least 5ft 8ins tall and are thought to have had Irish accents.

They were both wearing hooded tops but had their faces covered.

Detective Constable Andy Panter said: “Were you in the area on Friday night? Did you see or hear anything suspicious? I am keen to speak to anyone who may have information about this incident.”
