Appeal for witnesses to M4 accident on Saturday after van driver failed to stop

The driver and passengers in a Volvo V70 had to be cut free from the vehicle by fire crews after colliding with motorway furniture.
It happened after a white Luton-style van pulled into the middle lane, causing another Volvo to move into the third lane in front of the V70, according to a statement released by Thames Valley Police.
The collision occurred at 12.40pm between junctions 13 (Chieveley) and 12 (Theale) and caused severe delays to motorists with two lanes of the eastbound carriageway closed as a result.
Those involved were taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading, with minor injuries and were discharged the same day.
Police are now tracing the driver of the white van, and are urging anyone who may have information to contact them on the 24-hour non-emergency number 101.
If you don't want to speak directly to the police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org. No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
