Thames Valley Police appeal to find missing Reading man who may be in Theale




Thames Valley Police is appealing for help in locating a missing man who may be in West Berkshire.

James Cross, aged 64, was last seen at around 6.45pm on Monday, May 10 cycling along Southcote Lane in Reading.

Mr Cross is described as white, approximately 5ft 4ins tall, of a medium build who wears glasses.

He is from Reading and is known to frequent the River Kennet between Reading and Theale, Reading town centre, Maidenhead, Kidlington and Oxford City Centre.

Inspector Alan McIlwain, based at Newbury police station, said: “We are appealing for the public’s help in tracing James as we are concerned for his welfare.

“We would ask anyone who has seen him or knows where he is to please come forward.

“We know that James likes to cycle and frequents the footpaths along the River Kennet.

“You can make a report to us by calling 101, quoting reference 43210214408.

"I would also like to appeal to James directly and ask that if he sees this appeal to please get in touch as we just want to check that you are okay."
