Application lodged for new hotel and bar at former Coffin Mew building in Bartholomew Street




Bartholomew Street's former Coffin Mew building may become a new hotel and bar, following a recent premises licence application.

Bart’s Newbury Ltd has applied for the licence for what will be known as the Newbury Bridge Hotel and Bart’s Bar and Restaurant.

The applicant seeks to supply alcohol on the premises, at 26-28a Bartholomew Street, from 10am to 11pm Monday to Wednesday.

It also wishes to sell from 10am to midnight on Thursday to Saturday, and 11am to 10.30pm on Sunday.

Additionally, it plans to offer late night refreshments until 12.30am on Thursday through to Saturday.

The full application can be viewed at the offices of the Licensing Authority at the council offices.

Interested parties can make representations to the Licensing Authority until November 18.

All representations must be made in writing.
