Young people not applying for apprenticeships in West Berkshire

West Berkshire Council says apprenticeship opportunities have bounced back post-pandemic with 41 current vacancies advertised on the government portal.

However, there has been a drop in the numbers of young people applying for apprenticeship opportunities, instead opting to enter non-apprenticeship employment.

There is insufficient evidence that this is a negative or a positive.
