Are we Charlie? Leaders split on magazine response

An attack by Islamist fanatics on the Parisian offices of Charlie Hebdo killed 12, including a Muslim policeman, last Wednesday, January 7.
The gunmen were apparently incensed by irreverent depictions of the prophet Muhammad, forbidden in Islam.
This week's edition of the controversial publication shows a cartoon depicting a weeping prophet holding a "Je suis Charlie" sign below the words: “All is forgiven.”
Some of the five million copies were being made available in Britain but Newbury MP Richard Benyon said he would choose not to buy one.
Others took differing views. To see the whole story, grab a copy of this week's Newbury Weekly News.
