Are you looking for things to do this summer?

Summer action packs, which include details of attractions and events in West Berkshire, have been produced

IF you are stuck for things to do to entertain your children in West Berkshire this summer, help will soon be at hand.

West Berkshire Council has announced that 'Summer Action Packs' have been produced by Newbury Tourist Information Centre with details of local attractions and events in the West Berkshire area.

The council initially issued a press release last week with details of the packs, but the council has today (Tuesday) issued further information to correct the venue for the farmer-led Muddy Paws challenge.

This will be held at Bucklebury Farm Park, not Basildon Park, as previously stated by West Berkshire Council.

More than half of the activities and events are free or cost less than £5 each, with highlights including Elmer the Elephant at the Arlington Arts Centre, Snelsmore Common, the farmer-led Muddy Paws challenge at Bucklebury Farm Park and the Glee! Summer School in Tilehurst.

The free packs can be collected at the Tourist Information Centre from July 21 and when collecting packs, people will be given the opportunity to enter a weekly draw for one of many prizes that are on offer, including a family pass to Beale Park, a family pass to the Living Rainforest and a family pass to Vue Cinema.

The Tourist Information Centre in The Wharf is open from 10am to 5pm Monday to Saturday.
