Are you ready for the royal wedding?

People across West Berkshire are preparing to celebrate the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton

THE whole country is set to celebrate the wedding of Bucklebury's Catherine Middleton to Prince William on Friday, and West Berkshire, with its special links to the future princess, refuses to be outshone.

There are plans in place for bunting and street parties abound across the district, as people celebrate the occasion.

Tickets to the main ‘Tea in the Park' party in Bucklebury, Miss Middleton's home village, were sold out well in advance of the event, which is expecting around 1,700 visitors, and tickets for many other events are being snapped up quickly.

For full details of all the upcoming events, see this Thursday's Newbury Weekly News.

Meanwhile, send us in accounts of your events and celebrations, and photographs, by no later than noon on Bank Holiday Monday, May 2, so we can include your event in our royal wedding news coverage next week. Please email your pictures and details to eddie.vanderwalt@newburynews.co.uk and include your name and a contact telephone number.
