Arlington Arts season kicks off with stand-up comedy club hosted by Comedy Ladder and headlined by BBC sitcom Uncle’s Nick Helm
Arlington Arts, at Snelsmore, has announced its programme of events for January to June, featuring Newton Faulkner, The Selfish Giant, FM, Nick Helm, ShakeItUp theatre and much more.
The season kicks off with the second iteration of their stand-up comedy club hosted by Comedy Ladder and headlined by Nick Helm, best known for BBC sitcom ‘Uncle’. Other comedians in the programme include star of BBC Radio 4s A Fair Cop Alfie Moore and Nottingham Comedy Festival’s ‘New Comedian of the Year’ winner David Eagle.
Music fans are treated to well-established artists such as Newton Faulkner, FM and Lindisfarne, as well as some of the best up and coming acts in Kira Mac, Big Wolf Band and Flats & Sharps.
Meanwhile families can expect powerful storytelling, captivating puppetry, beautiful design, enchanting music and a sprinkling of magic when two leading family theatre experts, Tessa Bide productions & Soap Soup Theatre, come together for a production of Oscar Wilde’s The Selfish Giant in the Easter half term.
