Dancing with fire at award-winning West Berks pub
Armaleggan, described as ‘the border morris side with added grrrrrr’ are visiting CAMRA award-winning pub The Bell at Aldworth tomorrow afternoon to dance with fire.
The mixed side – mixed genders, mixed ages, a mixture of tradition and innovation and “we do not mind mixing our drinks” practice at Cumnor Village Hall and usually dance all over Oxfordshire, the Cotswolds and beyond.
They danced at the Apple Day autumn harvest celebrations at Thatcham Nature Discovery Centre last year newburytoday.co.uk/news/thatchamites-enjoy-apple-day-at-nature-discovery-centre-9280209/ and stopped by for some lunchtime dancing and merrymaking at The Bell in November 2021 newburytoday.co.uk/lifestyle/border-morris-bring-their-oomph-to-west-berkshire-pub-9226800/
Every penny of the money they collect is donated to a different local charity each year . To date they have raised more than £23,000 for their designated charities.
Armaleggan is a fun side to watch, especially with the added jeopardy of fire!
