Armed Forces Day parade in Newbury tomorrow
The parade will assemble in Pelican Lane at 10am and will comprise former and current service personnel associations and Royal British Legion members from all over the county.
The march will step off at 10.35am, led by the Wantage town marching band, followed by numerous standard bearers.
It will march along Northbrook Street to the Market Place, and finally to the town hall for the flag raising.
A service of thanks, led by the Newbury Royal British Legion’s chaplain, the Rev Keri Eynon, will be held, with readings by Grp Capt David Drew, the county chairman of the Royal British Legion.
After the service, the parade will march back to Pelican Lane where a reception will be held in the Royal British Legion club.
