Armed police called to Thatcham axe fight





Armed police were called at 7.48pm to Sedge Grove, Thatcham, following a report of a fight involving men with an axe.
No arrests have been made and no victim of this incident has stepped forward, according to police, who have made an urgent appeal for witnesses.
Unofficial reports on social media earlier on Tuesday evening stated a police helicopter was circling above the area, searching for a man covered in blood, however it is believed any injuries as a result of the incident were minor, according to police.
Police were also knocking on doors, asking people to stay indoors.
Although according to Insp. Chris Evans of Thames Valley Police this was standard procedure during incidents involving armed police.
