Reading Magistrates' Court: Arrest warrant for Newbury man facing theft charges

A WARRANT has been issued for the arrest of an alleged thief.

Andrew Gainey had been due to appear at Reading Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, November 1.

The 24-year-old, of Northway, Newbury, is accused of stealing perfume worth £251.98 from Boots the Chemist in Newbury on Monday, September 5.

However Mr Gainey did not turn up and the prosecution successfully applied for a charge of failing to surrender to bail to be added.

Magistrates meanwhile issued a warrant for his immediate arrest.
