Attempted break-in at Tadley butchers

Hampshire police seek information following Bishopswood Road break-in

A TADLEY butcher's shop recently suffered an attempted break-in.

Hampshire police are seeking information following the incident, which was discovered shortly after 7.45am on January 10, at Klatts butchers, in Bishopswood Road.

The roller shutter at the front of the shop had been partially levered from its rails and it is believed an attempt was made to also gain access to the back of the shop.

Nothing was stolen.

Police Community Support Officer Pete Coe said: "This area is a busy footpath for local residents during all times of the day so it is possible that someone has seen something relevant without even realising it.

"If you were in the area, especially if late at night, do you remember anyone hanging around or anything that seemed out of the ordinary? If so then please contact me at Tadley Police Station."

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Pcso Coe at Tadley Police Station, telephone the non emergency number, 101 or via the website www.hampshire.police.uk/internet/contact/message_officer.htm

Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously, telephone 0800 555 111. Minicom users should call (01962) 875000.
