Award honour for West Berks life-saving blood donors

These West Berkshire donors were honoured as part of 51 people across the south who were awarded for saving or improving the lives of up to 12,675 patients between them.
Guest speaker Marie Collinson-Wallace, whose daughter is a blood recipient, said: “All of these donors are just priceless.
“So many donors tell me that it brings it home to them what a difference it makes to see Olivia stood before them being able to think about her aspirations and what she wants to achieve.”
Honored with crystal awards at the ceremony, each blood donor potentially saved the lives of up to three people with each donation they made.
West Berkshire people who were honoured included Peter Lansley of Burghclere (75 donations), Ian Park of Newbury (100 donations), Richard Baker of Newbury (100 donations), Keith Williams of Newbury (100 donations), Diane James of Theale (75 donations), Stephen Quin, of Aldermaston (75 donations), and Rita Dellow of Hungerford (75 donations).
