Baby wouldn’t wait for Dad’s bacon sarnie!

When Amanda Jutte’s contractions began her partner, a relaxed Steve Turnbull, decided there was obviously time for a tasty snack.
But he was regretting his decision when the new arrival - a daughter as yet unnamed - made an unscheduled appearance as they raced to hospital from their Thatcham home.
Mr Turnbull found himself admiring his baby girl on the passenger seat.
But the drama did not end there, as the umbilical cord was wrapped around the baby's neck.
Mr Turnbull rang emergency services and, following their instructions, untangled the cord.
Seconds later an ambulance arrived and whisked the new parents to Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital where their daughter was pronounced an 8lbs 6oz bundle of health.
Ms Jutte, aged 40, had started having contractions early on Friday.
As the morning went on and they monitored the timings, Ms Jutte decided they should head for the hospital.
She said: “I told him we had to go but he had just started making his bacon sandwich. “
Mr Turnbull confessed: "She was screaming that we needed to go - but I was quite relaxed. I though I’d just add an egg to my sandwich."
They set off down the A339 from their Tennyson Road home at around 2pm - but then disaster struck.
Realising Ms Jutte was about to give birth, Mr Turnbull pulled into a layby at Headley.... just in time to see his daughter’s head emerge.
He raced round to the passenger side and opened the car door to see the baby slide onto the seat.
Ms Jutte said: “I was panicking. This was just not what I wanted. It was terrifying but there’s nothing you can do.”
And she had a message for other fathers-to-be: “Let this act as a cautionary tale.”
Mr Turnbull was soon forgiven for having helped deliver her “perfect baby”.
He said: “Amanda deserves all the credit - she handled it amazingly well. I'm very proud of her. In hindsight, if I had listened more, we would have left earlier.
“But I’m a man. I didn't think.”
