Kennet School to host ‘magical’ fireworks display in Thatcham
A Thatcham secondary school is hosting its third low-noise fireworks display next month.
Kennet School PTAC, Francis Baily PTA and Friends of Whitelands Park are joining forces to introduce the Magical Thatcham Fireworks at Kennet School on Friday, November 8.
This year’s event will be a professional low-noise display set to magical music from the Harry Potter, Fantastic Beasts, Oz: The Great and Powerful and Lord of the Rings films.
Kennet PTAC secretary Chloe Byrne said: “We are very excited to bring a magical touch to our fifth fireworks display, and our third with low-noise fireworks.
“It is such a great opportunity for the community to come together for a fun night out, all while supporting three local school charities.”
The group has opted to continue the low-noise display to cause less distress to pets and wildlife and to be accessible to all, particularly those with sensitivities to loud noises.
There will also be a hard-floor wheelchair viewing area for families who require this facility.
Gates will open at 6.30pm, with the display expected to start at 7.30pm.
Tickets are currently on sale, costing £10 per adult (over 18) and £5 per child (ages 4-18). Under 4s are free, but require a ticket.
Two family ticket options are also available to buy until November 7.
For £20, guests can receive either two adult tickets and two child tickets, or one adult ticket and three child tickets.
Please visit www.thatchamfireworks.co.uk to buy a ticket.
The event is being sponsored by LakeRidge Solutions, MDUK Clothing, Henwick Properties and Vanson Bourne.
