Bacon butties and support for new dads in Calcot

New dads are invited to a catch-up session with plenty of ketchup, as bacon butties are being served.

West Berkshire Council is organising a Dad’s Postnatal Session for Saturday, August 31.

Taking place at the East Family Hub in Curtis Road, Calcot, the event is suitable for both dads-to-be and those who are currently getting used to sleepless nights.

The event will include help with the challenges for those becoming a parent, support for mental health, details on what is normal for newborn behaviours, how to build a relationship with a baby, and how to ensure it stays safe and well.

The session costs £5, and includes refreshments. Support is available for those who would struggle to afford the payment.

It runs from 9.30am to noon, and places should be booked in advance.
