A SCRATCHCARD thief may have been feeling lucky when he snatched whole books of tickets.
But instead of winning a jackpot, Simon Thomas Williams is facing a costly outcome.
The 30-year-old, of Kendal Close, Thatcham, admitted stealing £100 worth of scratchcards from Costcutter in Thatcham on November 10 last year and an unknown amount from Sainsbury’s in Thatcham on November 15 last year.
Kevin Hennessy, defending his client to Newbury magistrates on Thursday, March 3, said Mr Williams had a drug problem.
Sentencing was postponed until March 24 for reports to be prepared and Mr Williams was released on bail until then.
