Bag snatched from mobility scooter in Newbury

Police appeal for witnesses after a man riding a mobility scooter was mugged along the canal towpath

THIEVES snatched a bag from a man riding a mobility scooter along the Kennet and Avon Canal towpath in Newbury on Tuesday (12).

At about 3pm, the man in his thirties was riding his mobility scooter along the towpath by Victoria Park, when two men on bicycles stole his rucksack from the handlebars before riding off.

The offenders are described as white, aged between 25 and 35, and slim.
