Bagnor upholds tradition with annual village duck race
The ducks, which cost £1 each to race, were released into the River Lambourn, close to The Watermill theatre and raced down to the finish line opposite The Blackbird pub, all in aid of children’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent.
Three races were held on the day, with prizes awarded to the winners in each race donated by local residents and businesses.

The fundraising total has not yet been confirmed, however last year the event raised more than £450 for The Castle School, Donnington, a specialist school for children with special educational needs.
The annual event is organised by the residents committee of Bagnor village.
