Bantams on display
More than 1,500 bantams will be on display including 40 different breeds as well as bantam ducks and more than 200 plates of eggs.
There will be 200 birds for sale as well as trade stands selling books and poultry supplies.
Judging will take place on Saturday morning with the winning birds being announced around 3pm and trophies will be handed out on Sunday afternoon.
Thousands of visitors flocked to the event last year and organisers said they were pleased by the attendance figures and the amount of birds on display.
The event will run from 10am until 5pm on Saturday (today) and from 10am until 2.30pm on Sunday at the Northcroft Leisure Centre.
There is an entrance fee of £3.50 for adults for each day or £4.50 for the weekend and under 16s go free.
