Hundreds of complaints about barking dogs, car alarms and loud music in West Berkshire and Bracknell
There were 650 complaints about barking dogs, car alarms and loud music in West Berkshire and Bracknell last year.
A report to the Public Protection Partnership also says around 330 complaints were made about commercial noise.
That includes noise from public houses or larger events and noise from refrigeration and extraction units at food premises, and dust, steam, grit, and odour from industrial, trade or business premises.
Smoke from bonfires elicited around 175 service requests to the partnership, which has a draft policy for approval, which also seeks to clarify that some household noises are also not considered to be a statutory nuisance and cannot be investigated, such as slamming doors and the sound of footsteps.
