Bartholomew Street in Newbury to close again for roadworks




A main travel route in Newbury will be closed at the end of the month.

Bartholomew Street will be closed again to traffic for 24 hours between October 29 and November 1.

Repairs and resurfacing works will be carried out by Volker Highways between Pound Street and St Michael’s Road, roughly between Barry Forkin-Toomers and Cloth & Scissors.

The diversion for travelling north is via Newtown Road, A343 Andover Road/St Johns Road Roundabout, A343 (St Johns Road), A339 and Greenham Roundabout, A339 Northbound, Cheap Street, Market Street and Bartholomew Street.

The diversion for travelling south is via Bartholomew Street, Market Street, Cheap Street, Bear Lane, Kings Road Roundabout, A339 Southbound, A339 and Greenham Road Roundabout, A343 (St Johns Road), A343 Andover Road/St Johns Road Roundabout and Newton Road.
