BBC Flog It! coming to Newbury

The BBC Two programme, presented by Paul Martin, is to film auctions held at SAS sale room two, 80 Greenham Business Park, on January 8 at the monthly antiques and collectibles sale.
As part of the auction, 15 lots will be sold on behalf of youth charity YMCA Newbury, with all profits going towards a new premises for a day centre in the town.
Director and auctioneer for SAS, Neil Shuttleworth said: “We always help charities where we can.
“Naturally, they need to raise funds and it’s very difficult in these times. Anything that we can do to help reputable charities is a good thing.”
Fellow SAS director and auctioneer, Thomas Plant, who is also an antiques expert for Flog It! as well as BBC One’s Bargain Hunt and BBC Two’s Antiques Road Trip, will be on the rostrum as Flog It! hopefuls and their experts watch to see what their items will make under the hammer.
He said: “I’m very excited to see what items turn up, especially as I’ll be the one selling them.
“We look forward to seeing lots of Flog It! fans on the day.”
