Dog of the Week: The latest dogs looking for their forever homes from Newbury Dogs Trust
Dogs Trust Newbury has a number of dogs at its Hamstead Marshall base who need a new home.
And every week we have been shining a spotlight on one of them to try to help spread the word.
Nationwide, the charity currently has 696 dogs that are looking for a family to join.
You can find out more about adopting a dog by visiting the charity’s website.
Today we have beautiful crossbreed Raya to introduce you to.
She is a two-year-old who was originally rescued from Mauritius.
“This loving girl adores her food and toys and likes to take them with her on her walks,” the Trust said.
But Raya isn't fond of other dogs and so her adopters will need to continue her training around others.
Raya is looking for a pet-free home with a private garden, as she enjoys her own space and her humans and she would benefit from a quieter household with minimal visitors and older children.
“Raya can be worried by strangers and needs to take it slow when she meets new people,” the centre added. “But once she gets to know people and is comfortable around them, she has a lot of love to give!”
