Beedon Primary School goes back to the Middle Ages

The Medieval Siege Society visited the school on Monday to re-enact some of the conflict and life of the period and show how people lived before smart phones, video games and all the other modern comforts.
The headteacher, Alison O'Halloran, said it was fantastic day for all the students
“We have a very active curriculum and are developing our learning outside the classroom and always looking at more ways we can become more hands on,” she said.
“The children really enjoyed learning what life was like back then, how they would have lived.
They tried on armour and used the cutlery, and it really gave them a chance to try so many different things. they thought it was wonderful.”
