The Medieval Siege Society re-enacted some of the conflict of the era and showed how people lived before smart phones, video games and other modern comforts.
The headteacher, Alison O’Halloran, said that it had been a fantastic day for all the pupils.
“We have a very active curriculum and are developing our learning outside the classroom and always looking at more ways we can become more hands-on,” she said.
“The children really enjoyed learning what life was like back then, how they would have lived. “They tried on armour and used the cutlery, and it really gave them a chance to try so many different things.
“They thought it was wonderful.”
