Beer festival set for Thatcham
People will be able to celebrate real ale and raise funds for charity at the event on Saturday, June 25
A BEER festival in Thatcham on Saturday, June 25 will give people the chance to celebrate real ale and raise funds for charity.
All proceeds from this charity fundraising event will go to Help for Heroes, supporting members of the armed forces wounded in service.
A wide range of real ales will be available at the family friendly event, along with food, live music and other beer festival highlights.
The beer festival will showcase real ales from Derbyshire, with more than 24 beers from the county as well as favourites from local breweries and cider makers.
Sarah Rigby, one of the festival organisers, said: "One of the joys of a beer festival is the chance to try ales that you wouldn't usually cross paths with.
"With more than 30 microbreweries thriving in Derbyshire, it's been a difficult choice for the beer orderers, but we're delighted to welcome a lovely range of ales to the festival and look forward to seeing which one people choose as Beer of the Festival.”
Entertainment will be provided by local bands, and there will be fun on offer for children including face painting and bouncy castle.
The beer festival will be held at Thatcham Town Football Club and the doors open at noon.
Entry is £5 on the day or £4 in advance, with £1 discount for card carrying CAMRA members.
