Ben's Berkshire Bees in Thatcham receives grant from Rural England Prosperity Fund




Ben's Berkshire Bees has been awarded a grant from the Rural England Prosperity Fund, administered by West Berkshire Council.

This funding will enable the business, based in Thatcham, to invest in its next phase of extraction and processing equipment to further contribute to the local economy and agricultural ecosystem.

Founder Ben Tichband said: “We are incredibly grateful for this support.

“The new equipment will allow us to expand our operations, improve our processes and continue to provide top-quality honey while supporting local biodiversity and the rural community."

The Fund is designed to support rural businesses and communities by investing in projects that drive growth and sustainability.

Administered locally, the fund focuses on boosting productivity, encouraging innovation and improving the resilience of rural enterprises.

Ben's Berkshire Bees is committed to sustainable beekeeping, with hives in apiaries (bee yards) across West Berkshire.
